Christmas Girl

December...weren't you just here like a month ago?! In case you can't tell I am just having a hard time grasping how time is flying!
It's time for another challenge at Sister Act Card Challenge. This week we're being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps. I chose to use Little Siannie Christmas Stamp. Just a clean and simple card. I have lost all mojo and I'm afraid it is gone for good. Sigh...

Winter Trio

Hi all! Welcome back. Did you have a great Thanksgiving? Anyone brave the crowds and go shopping?

It's time for another challenge at Sister Act Card Challenge. This week we're being sponsored by Bugaboo Images. I chose to use Winter Trio. Don't they look like they're the best of buds? The cute little penguin brad came from Walmart.

Good Morning! It's time for another anything goes challenge at Sister Act Card Challenge. This week we're being sponsored by All Dressed Up. Seriously, if you've never seen their images, you need to go check them out. I had never heard of them until a few months ago and I love them!. I chose to work with A Cuddle Makes it All Better. Blue and yellow is one of my favorite color combos and I really like how this turned out. I have several dog lovers in my family that this reminds me of.

Snow Bears

Hi Everyone! Fall festivities are all around and Christmas is peeking around the corner. Hope you're not too busy to enjoy these seasons before O' Man Winter sets in.
This week at Sister Act Card Challenge we're offering up a goodie bag to our winner. The challenge is always anything goes, as long as it's a card. I used a pre-printed image from Lili of the Valley. I bought these a couple of years ago, so I don't know if they're still available.
The tree punch is from EKSuccess.

Snowman Cutie

This morning at Sister Act Card Challenge we're being sponsored by Deedee's Digis. I used Christmas Cuties. This set came with several images, but this penguin made the cut.
The paper is from Echo Park-Season's Greetings. The big flower is from The Paper Studio and the green flowers from Recollections. The sentiment came with the digi set. I also used some frantage to give it some added oomph.

Sleeping Girl

Good Morning!
This week at Sister Act Card Challenge we're being sponsored by Whoopsiedaisy. This is a new sponsor to us. They have some super sweet images. The cool thing is that more than one image comes with a sheet. I used a little girl from Sheet541. Paper is from My Mind's Eye. The big paper flower is from a previous sponsor a couple of months ago called Cottage Chic Flowers. The others are from Micheals.

Sweetie

Good Morning!

This week at Sister Act Card Challenge we're being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps. They are no stranger to us. I used Fishing Time. Colored her up with copics and used paper from My Mind's Eye (I'm beginning to think those are the only paper packs I own). HA! The "sweetie" is an old chipboard sticker from K&Company. The flowers are mainly from Micheals. I also distressed the edges by using frantage.
We'd love for you to join our "anything goes" challenge.

Happy 4th of July

Happy Friday! It's time for another "anything goes" card challenge over at Sister Act Card Challenge. It's a busy time of the year, but if you're able to join us we'd love to see your creations.
This week we're being sponsored by Fitztown.

My image was a freebie from Whimsie Doodles.  They have several freebies. If you've never been to their site before, you must go now! Such cuteness.
I wish I could remember what the paper pack was. It's all in bits and pieces because it's just about used up. Loved it...I think it has been by far my favorite. It was a summer theme.

To all my fellow Americans:

SACC with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and happy weekend! It's time for another "anything goes" card challenge over at Sister Act Card Challenge. It's a busy time of the year, but if you're able to join us we'd love to see your creations.

This week we're being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps. If you've never been to their site they have a bazillion images sure to please all crafters. Goodness, so many to chose from.  I used Little Penguin Winter Bench. I have to admit it was a little weird making a winter card when we set up the pool for our kiddos today. LOL!
The paper is from Hobby Lobby and the buttons just came from my stash. I used the sketch over at deconstructingjen.

Delphinium

Good Morning!

This week at Sister Act Card Challenge, we're once again being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps. They are a company who have many different artists featured in their store, so there is bound to be something you like.  I chose to use Delphinium.

I kept the card very simple by just adding some hand-drawn doodles. I wanted to highlight the flowers.

Hang In There + Monkey Bread Recipe

Hello Everyone! The weather has been beautiful here; lots of projects being started, homeschooling K has been completed, kiddos are getting dirty, bring on summer!

I made this card awhile back for a friend who lost her Daddy. Having been in her shoes, it always grabs at my heart when something like this happens.
Over at Sister Act Card Challenge we're being sponsored by Stamp n Create. They are an online company, so lots of goodies for everyone. The image is a digi from Whimsy. Be sure and enter your card creations in this week.

I also wanted to share a recipe I made this week. I adapted it to use Splenda to try and cut back on the calories. It was yummy!

Monkey Bread
  • 3/4 cup Splenda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 (7.5 oz) packages refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup packed Splenda brown sugar

1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9-10 inch Bundt tube pan.

2. Mix white Splenda and cinnamon in a large plastic bag. Cut biscuits into quarters (I used my pizza roller for this and it worked great!). Shake six to eight pieces in sugar-cinnamon mixture. Arrange in pan. Continue until all pieces are coated and in the pan. (It mentioned you could add walnuts or raisins and tuck them in between the biscuit pieces, but I went with less calories and more kid friendly).

3. In a small saucepan, melt butter with Splenda brown sugar over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute. Pour over the biscuits.

4. Bake for 35 minutes. Let bread cool in pan between 7-10 minutes, but not over 10 ten or it won't come out easily. Flip out onto a plate.

5. Enjoy!

Happy Best Day Ever

Hello! Welcome to my blog. Sister Act Card Challenge has another "anything goes" challenge for us this week. We're being sponsored by Fitztown.
The card I'm showcasing is made with an image from Penny Black. These little gals are super easy to color, especially when you paper piece almost all of it. LOL!

Garden Bear

Hello! Welcome to my blog. Sister Act Card Challenge has another "anything goes" challenge for us this week. We're being sponsored by Louby Loo.
The card I'm showcasing is made with an image from Lili of the Valley. I've had this image since last spring and finally decided to ink it up. I like images with animals and think they're cute, but I find them a real challenge to color.
The key and flowers came from Micheals. I believe the paper is My Mind's Eye.

Monstrous Birthday

Happy Good Friday! I hope you all have a blessed Easter weekend.

It's Friday and ya'll know what that means; time for another "anything goes" card challenge at Sister Act Card Challenge. This week we're being sponsored by JW Illustrations. They are a new company to us and we enjoyed working with their images. I chose to use Monster Mongrels. The set includes 6 single monsters, but I grouped a few together in photoshop. Love how it turned out! So fun!

The paper is an old pack from My Mind's Eye. The sketch is from Mojo Monday. I typed the sentiment on the computer, then added a couple of brads and a button and voila!
I'm also entering this card in Simon Says; Animal Antics. Are monsters animals?
